If you'd like to share this on Tumblr, please do so from here: [link] Thanks :D

Here's a side view of my gun with the orange LEDs. :D

Note: This is not the NECA replica gun. I made this one :D

It was a big hit at SDCC, people were stopping me everywhere to ask me where I got it, and the look on their faces when I told them I made it was priceless!

I'm going to do a write-up for this, so let me know in the comments if there's anything specific you want me to write about!

Here's a video of it in action: [link]

fun fact: The reason this replica is so accurate is because many of the parts you see here were 3D printed! [link]

And many thanks to =rinoa-lewis and ~Null-Entity for their help!

Woah, beautiful gun! I also made my own ( not 3D printed, but as accurate as I could get it) and I was stopped all the time by people asking me if I made it myself!

Could you go over how you did the little wire cages on the claw pieces? That's the only part I'm still working on.

Well for my gun the claws and cages were printed as a single unit, and I bought 3 of them for this build (they cost $17 each if I remember correctly)

I looked over the 3D printing website. I saw the cost of those things! How much did you end up paying!?
