Comic-Con 2013

Hi everyone! 

So I have good news and bad news.

Bad News: Due to various reasons, I have to push my Wheatley project off until next year's SDCC.

Good News: In addition to bringing my portal gun to the con, I'll also be wearing a jacket that has 6 LEDs running up each sleeve! I've almost finished sewing it and hopefully the programming won't be too difficult. It will be super bright and colorful! :D

If any of you happen to be at Comic-Con and see me, come say hello! I'll be there all 4 days!

It's official! I'm going to do a Wheatley Replica!

Hi watchers!

So after the positive feedback I got from the Portal Gun, I've decided to make a MOVING Wheatley! It'll feature about 9 servo motors, an Arduino microcontroller, a LCD Monitor and lots of LiPo batteries... It's in the beginning stages right now, and I'm looking to have at least part of it 3D-Printed or cut with a CNC machine. If anyone has advice or suggestions, I'm happy to hear them!

All that being said, would you guys like me to post updates as I go along?

Portal Gun Write-Up/Tutorial is on its way!!!

Hi everyone!

Due to the overwhelming positive response I got for my portal gun, I'm really going to try to get the write-up done ASAP, which is easier said than done because I haven't started it yet! ^^; But I have LOADS of WIP photos and measurements so I'll try to be as in-depth as possible so that you might have an easier time with building your own gun if you decide to make one of your own :D

Let me know in the comments if you have a specific topic/question you want me to cover and I'll do my best to make it clear :D

My Portal Gun is Done!

Hey everyone!

Good news: I finished my gun and took it to Comic-Con! It was a smashing success! People were stopping me everywhere to ask me about the gun and were amazed when I told them I made it (I even had to show some people WIP pictures to get them to believe me). I'll be posting up pictures and video in the near future (this weekend hopefuly!) so get ready! I might do a write up as well, but it'll take a little more time to do, so your patience will be much appreciated!
