Description
This a WIP photo for my portal gun, which will be modeled after the Portal 2 design.
Top Left: Painting! These parts were 3D printed in order to make them as accurate as possible
Top Right: A cardboard mock-up of the chamber under the large shell. I found that a 4" diameter half-circle on each side with a 1" straight strip in the middle worked perfectly!
Bottom: A test assembly of the various parts.
I'm still working on the center tubing. I'm trying to use diffusion film in order to make the lighting even (rather than sanding it).
Feel free to let me know what you think! I'll be posting more photos in the future, so stay tuned!
EDIT: I finished it! Here's the final product:

how expensive was it to 3D print it and what technology was used? Home printer or outsourced to something else?
